A liberal sprinkling of good quality storytelling?
Several spoonfuls of diverse & dexterous puppetry, plus a whole heap of fun & challenging learning experiences?
Then look no further than
Pypedau Vagabondi Puppets.
Who are we?
We are a professional puppet theatre providing entertainment, education and inspiration across the known universe (but mostly in Wales and England.)
We work and play with a wide range of folk, old and young in a variety of circumstances; from the At The Edge Storytelling Festival to the Midlands Arts Centre, from Edinburgh Fringe Festival to
La Casa de los Cuentos, Barcelona , from
Womad Festival of World Culture to Rhondda-Cynon-Taf Libraries.
We help to transform countless schools, theatres, colleges, youth groups and dusty old halls into spaces where the imagination is activated, where expression flourishes and puppetry, poetry and play become positive forces in the community.
The main ingredient in this creative soup is
Jo Munton. But at any time other artists, actors, teachers, puppeteers, dancers, musicians or general vagabonds may bubble to the surface.
We have been delighted to be integral founders of Pyped, a support network for the puppeteers of Wales. Already this group has played a vital role for its members and many fruitful collaborations have sprung forth.
Quite frankly, I don't know how they get away with it!
